Indium Silver comes in 3 types: INDIUM 40 SILVER (VLT 32%), INDIUM 60 SILVER (VLT 14%), INDIUM 80 SILVER (VLT 5%). VLT is the light that passes through: the lower, the darker.
How much heat does Indium Silver reject?
According to the official spec sheet, Indium Silver rejects 87–93% of infrared, 99% of UV and 70–81% of total solar energy (TSER), depending on the type. Highest TSER: INDIUM 80 SILVER (81%).
Which Indium Silver type is for the windshield?
The lightest Indium Silver type is INDIUM 40 SILVER (VLT 32%). For the windshield many customers choose INDIUM 20 PLATINUM (VLT 69%) and use Indium Silver on the side and rear windows.
