What is the difference between Indium Platinum, Silver and Black IR?
Indium Platinum is the clearest option with 97–99% infrared rejection. Indium Silver has a reflective finish that cuts heat and glare (IRR 87–93%). Indium Black IR is deep black for privacy, with IRR 75–85%. All reject 99% of UV. Compare every type
Which tint percentage is good for a car?
For the windshield choose a light film so the view while driving stays clear: INDIUM 20 PLATINUM (VLT 69%) is the lightest. For the side and rear windows, types 40 to 80 are common for privacy. The darkest is INDIUM 80 SILVER (VLT 5%). Tint shades explained
Is darker tint cooler?
Not always. Most heat comes from invisible infrared. Compare the TSER figure (total solar energy rejected), not only the darkness. Example: INDIUM 40 PLATINUM (VLT 32%) rejects 75% of the heat, more than the much darker INDIUM 80 BLACK IR (VLT 9%, TSER 70%). Glossary: TSER, VLT, IRR
Is the number in the name the VLT?
No. The number is the darkness class. The exact VLT is in the spec table and can differ between series even with the same number. Full specifications
What warranty does Indium give?
Every installation at an official dealer comes with an official warranty card (8-year warranty). You can check it online with the card number, and claims are made at an official dealer with the card. Warranty check & claims
Can I install window film myself?
No. Window film should only be installed by professionals so the result is clean and lasts. Have it fitted at an official Indium dealer to get the official warranty card. Find an official dealer
Can the rear window be done without a seam?
Dealer technicians use the "shrink to fit" technique: the film is shaped to the curve of the glass, so both the windshield and the rear window can be done without a seam.
How long after tinting can I roll the windows down?
Keep the windows up and do not clean the inside for 3 days after installation, so the adhesive can fully set. Window film care
How do I clean window film?
Use a soft cloth and a cleaner without ammonia. Ammonia and abrasives can damage window film.

How do I know my Indium film is genuine?
Have it installed at an official dealer and ask for the official warranty card. The card number can be checked online; if it is not registered, ask us. Check warranty
